Our synagogue's rich religious
school curriculum includes instruction in Jewish History,
Culture, Customs, Ethics, Comparative Religion, Tradition,
Holidays, Israel, Bible, and the Holocaust. Teaching
is designed to stimulate student participation, connection
and interest and includes the use of audio and visual
aids, art, music and drama. There are special programs
and workshops. Throughout the year, every grade has the
opportunity to lead Family Shabbat services.
To become either a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, students complete
four years of Hebrew study. First year students learn
the basics of the language, while in second and third
year they study Hebrew vocabulary and prayers. The fourth
year focuses specifically on Bar or Bat Mitzvah preparation.
